Team GPA

The Men's Swimming and Diving Team completed the Spring semester with a team semester GPA of a 3.170 which helps to raise the Cumulative GPA to an 3.093. This will enable the team to partake in a Winter Training Camp this January much to the teams enjoyment. We had 15 people who had a semester GPA of a 3.0 or higher and 14 that have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher. This ranking rates second among men's teams here at SBU behind Cross Country with a semester/cumulative GPA of a 3.35/3.222.

Class of 2009!!!

We bid farewell to the Class of 2009 as they depart Bonaventure Country Club for the next chapter of their lives. The ceremony this past Sunday featured keynote speaker and Buffalo native Wolf Blitzer.

Two Team Members Garner Department Awards!!

Congrat's goes out to Dan Quirk (second from left) and Phil Smith (middle). both were recognized yesterday at the athletic departments Senior Awards Banquet, that was held at the Clubhouse. Dan received the Merit Award for his unequaled representation of the university, swim program and his family during his time spent here at SBU. Phil received the Service Award for his 4 year comittment to not only the swim program but the atheltic department with the Sports Information Department. It is nice to see two people who normally do not get the recognition deserved be honored in this way. These are the people who are the true representatives of the team because of the immense contribitions that they make without the fanfare. Congrat's to both as they prepare for graduation this Sunday. We will be having a reception following the ceremony in the pool area for our seniors before they had off to the next chapter of their lives.
