Ray Bussard

Ray Bussard, the former Tennessee Men's Swimming Coach passed away last night after being in poor health. Ray was a great friend to SBU Swimming where he and former SBU Coach Kevin McNamee forged a solid friendship. Coach Bussard was a fixture at the St. Lawrence Swim Camp that Kevin directed and also spent many summers at the SBU Swim Camp back in the 90's.

"Great Strides" for Cystic Fibrosis

After tallying the donation amounts from the CF walk this past weekend, that the entire team participated in, it was determined that the men's swimming & diving team tied with the baseball team for the most amount donated!!! This entitles the team to give Coach Fiske and his assistant a dryland/weight training workout of our choice.

"Great Strides" Cystic Fibrosis Walk

The Men's Swimming & Diving Team spent the beautiful Southern Tier morning participating in the Cystic Fibrosis benefit walk in Salamanca. Darryn Fiske, our strength and conditioning coach, has spearheaded this event that has grown immensely over the years. Darryn has a nephew that is affected by CF and the SBU Athletic Department has leaped into assisting Coach Fiske with raising monies and awareness for CF. If anyone would like to assist this cause, here is a link to the website:
