Dear Friends of St. Bonaventure Swimming and Diving,
For the 15th year in a row, St. Bonaventure is hosting the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships at the
Flickinger Athletic Center on the campus of Erie Community College in downtown Buffalo. With such a tremendous
response in previous years from parents and friends to volunteer as back-up timers and merchandise sellers, we want to
offer you yet another chance to experience the meet on deck!
The championship is scheduled for February 17th – 20th, 2010. Volunteers are needed for the following times:
Backup Timing:
Wednesday night Thursday, Friday, & Saturday

on-site and available at the time(s) designated above. As a volunteer, you will receive an all-access pass to the

A Welcome Return to Western NY

Coming off our Winter Training in frigid Cocoa Beach the Bonnies men managed to handle Binghamton today in a meet at the Reilly Center 132-109. What has normally been a difficult meet for us coming off our training saw the Bonnies stand up a little better than usual under tough circumstances. On the boards, Mike Murphy and Trevor Herzog went 1-2 on both the 1 and 3 meter events. Sophomore Yi Liu also collected two wins in taking the 200 IM and 200 fly. Binghamton mounted a comeback taking the 100 free, 200 back and 500 free in a row but it was not enough to catch us after we opened the first half of the meet winning 6 of the first 8 events. Next up is a trip down to the Nations Capitol for a tilt with Georgetown on Saturday January 23 at 1:00.

100 x 100's

Monday saw our, somewhat annual, adventure of 100 x 100's. It is known as one of the more challenging water workouts of the season and kind of functions as the pinnacle of our Winter Training down here in sunny, but just getting warm, Florida. Elias Homerin and Kevin Murphy came the closest to completing the entire set but the set ended up winning with no sucessful completions.

Jan 9th

Here is some video from our afternoon practice before our second swim. We came upon some dolphins in the river next to us playing with their food before eating it. We are hoping the weather is going to warm up tomorrow.

Jan 7/8

Here is a little video of the last couple of workouts. I will be heading out shortly to pick up All-star Alumni Ryan Hoffnagle who is coming in to visit for the weekend. It is my goal to offer this up to the alumni in the future to come down and join us for the weekend and reminisce about all of those wonderful training camps both at Bonas and Florida.

January 7th

We finished yesterday's workout session with a 3.5 mile beach run and a Team Challenge game of ultimate frisbee. The amount of hustle was impressive for the end of the day.
